Friends of the Library Book Sale On Now!
DULUTH, Minn. — The Annual Friends of the Library Book sale is back!
There is plenty to peruse from thousands of books, Puzzles, CDs, and more.
Books come in all ages, genres, and prints.
They even have a section of rare and out-of-print books for sale.
This fundraiser adds several thousand to programming and events at the Duluth Public Library.
“Summer Reading just kicked off, so prizes and the Huskies were here for autograph signing, and there was a dunk tank. We can help the programming staff pay stipends or help purchase products and craft kits and just an amazing number of things that we can help the library do.” said Marcia Semerau, President of Friends of the Duluth Public Library.
Those programs, which help engage the community and promote reading, are all privately funded.
Some of the books are ones being retired from the library while the majority are donated for the sale.
“It’s always a great place to find, you know, good books, new and old for a good price. And to also, you know, like, support the library. I go like a lot, so it’s nice to help support the library even a little bit. And, you know, get a little something for me too.” said Zoey Tollefson, Duluth Resident.
The sale runs until Thursday.
On the final day they will have a bag sale.
Sale Schedule:
Tuesday – 10am to 7:30pm
Wednesday – 10am to 4:30pm
Thursday – 10am to 3pm
