Wednesday Morning Northland Forecast: 6/11/2025

Sunny and Warm Today!

Today will be a perfect June day! The average high for today is 71, and we will be a touch above that, with a high of 74 under sunny skies! What a great day to spend some time on the Lakewalk, or one of our local golf courses, or just hanging out in the backyard. These are the days we long for, in the middle of January! As a bonus, the jetstream is keeping smoke from the wildfires up in Canada, so we don’t even have to worry about that today!

Look for high pressure to keep us dry today and tomorrow. But we are below average on precipitation for the month and the year. So, when low pressure from the west brings our next shot of rain starting late Thursday night, I say, “Bring it on!” Look for rain to be around from overnight Thursday til about midday on Friday. We could see a quarter to a half inch of rain by noon on Friday, which would be great for the whole area. While most of the wildfires near us have been put out, or are at least under control, the fires in Canada rage on. We would love to see some of this rain land up North, too.

The high Friday will only be about 57 degrees, with strong winds from the east. So, Friday won’t be the day for lunch outside. The weekend shows quick improvement, though. Saturday and Sunday both look sunny, with highs from 64 to 72. Next week, we return to high in the 70s, with another chance for rain on Monday.
