Duluth FC Wins First-Ever Twin Ports Cup in Matchup Against Superior City FC

Joao Magalhaes tallied two goals to lead Duluth FC offensively.

DULUTH, Minn.- The Superior City FC and Duluth FC men’s soccer teams met for the first-ever time on Wednesday night.

The BlueGreens scored just over two minutes in to the contest as Alexis Santamaria headed in the first goal.

Later in the half, Joao Magalhaes tallied two goals to give Duluth FC a three-goal lead into the break.

BlueGreens went on to take the 3 to 0 victory and the inaugural Twin Ports Cup.

They’ll next be in action on Saturday at Minnesota Blizzard FC on Saturday.

As for the Navy, they’ll travel to face Bateaux FC on Sunday.
