Iron Range Sees Increase in THC, CBD Beverages

DULUTH, Minn. – An influx of THC and CBD drinks is headed to the Iron Range this summer.

The Iron Range is going to see an increase in THC and CBD drinks from local vendors to meet the rising demand for alcohol alternatives and functional beverages. This expansion will be conducted through Bernick’s, one of the leading beverage distribution companies in the Northland. Their services will help provide a wider range of accessibility to these wellness-forward beverages to the community members in the Iron Range.

“The last 18 to 24 months we’ve been working strategically, strategically with our supply partners in securing some brands and some equipment that will now be taking a full complement of products, including THC beverages, CBD beverages, beer products, soft drinks,” said Todd McFadden, the vending sales manager for Bernick’s.

Bernick’s, is partnering with vendors, like Blacklist Brewing Co., to expand locally made beverages to the Iron Range.

“Super excited that they’re kind of expanding out into the Iron Range a little bit more, and then with our THC, which has been kind of a huge saving grace for a lot of breweries,” said Tyler Schiroo, the sales and distribution manager at Blacklist Brewing.

The expansion not only helps breweries like Blacklist diversify with THC options, but also supports the shift toward alcohol-free choices while keeping it local.
