People impacted by Wildfires access multiple resources in one Place
HOYT LAKES, Minn. – People impacted by recent wildfires access multiple resources at an event organized by United Way of Northeastern Minnesota.
The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) established at the Hoyt Lakes Arena provides those impacted by recent wildfires with a single place to access governmental and non-government organizations. Hosted by the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota, organizations at the MARC offered everything from snacks to legal resources.
“We want people to know that we’re there for them, that there’s somebody there for them,” said Salvation Army Captain Jeff Curran.
“Sometimes people need help with, you know, housing or transportation, things like that,” said Salvation Army Captain Shannon Forney, “Other times they just want someone to talk to.”
The MARC will be open again from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
