Coffee Conversation: Local Author’s New Novel Inspired by APD
DULUTH, Minn. — On Wednesday morning’s Fox 21 newscast, local author Erika Lynn Adams joined the show to introduce her new young adult novel, Allie’s Adventure on the Wonder.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the book follows Allie, a young girl with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), as she navigates a world that often misunderstands her. The story is semi-autobiographical, drawing from Adams’ own experiences with APD.
The novel tackles important themes of acceptance, identity, and resilience, offering insight and hope to readers with similar challenges.
The book is available now on Amazon. Adams will also be signing copies at Downtown Duluth Days, July 9–10, and at Heritage Days in Two Harbors, July 11–13.
This is Adams’ second book, following her debut children’s book, New Moon’s Family.
