Mobley, Jobst-Smith, Van Wieren, Baskin, & Wallin All Taken in 2025 PWHL Draft

The first Bulldog off the board was forward Olivia Mobley, who was taken by the Boston Fleet at pick number 18 in the 3rd round.

DULUTH, Minn.- Since the PWHL began in 2023, 13 UMD women’s hockey standouts have heard their name called at the league’s draft.

On Tuesday, ten more were hoping to add themselves to that list.

The first Bulldog off the board was forward Olivia Mobley who was taken by the Boston Fleet at pick number 18 in the 3rd round.

Mobley tallied 27 points in her lone season as a Bulldog.

Just one pick later, PWHL Vancouver grabs UMD defender Nina Jobst-Smith.

It’ a homecoming for the North Vancouver native, who had 18 points this last season.

Still in the 3rd round, Clara Van Wieren found her future home in the Toronto Sceptres. The captain had a career-year with 40 points in 2025.

In the 6th round, Hanna Baskin joins Van Wieren in Toronto. She also had a career-high of 22 points this past season.

Then with the 2nd to last pick of the draft, Seattle selects forward Olivia Wallin. Wallin had 16 goals at UMD.
