Duluth man with Knife breaks down Neighboring Apartment’s Door – Warrant
DULUTH, Minn. – A Duluth man broke down the door to his neighbor apartment with a knife in hand, court documents allege.
On Sunday, Duluth Police were called to an apartment on the 1500 block of East 1st Street for reports of a man who kicked down his neighbor’s door, according to court documents. Two male victims told police that their neighbor had kicked in the door while holding a “butcher knife” and a “black metal pole.” The suspect “demanded to know where a ‘Jessica’ was” and told the two men “to stay out of his hallway.”
Authorities located the suspect in another apartment unit and spoke to him through a window. “After a short negotiation,” the suspect came out to officers and was taken into custody. The suspect allegedly told police he did go into the victim’s apartment but said he was carrying a “utensil in his hand because, he explained, it was dinner time.”
The inventory of a search warrant executed on the suspect’s apartment listed two knives, a black metal pole, and a black metal pipe.
The 34-year-old suspect was booked into the St. Louis County Jail, pending charges of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, terroristic threats, and criminal damage to property.
Update (06/01/2025): Malcom Travis Moseley Mcinnis, 34, has been charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, threats of violence, and fourth-degree criminal damage to property.
