Fire Destroys Home in Holyoke Township

Holyoke Township, MN — July 1, 2025 — A house fire late Tuesday night in the 1000 block of N Holyoke Drive resulted in a total loss of the home, according to the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene around 9:50 p.m. and found the residence fully engulfed in flames. The homeowners were not present at the time, and no people or animals were inside.

While the cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious, the incident remains under investigation. The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the displaced property owners.

The Wrenshall Fire Department was joined in the response by fire crews from Carlton, Kerrick, Moose Lake, and Esko, along with East Central Energy and Essentia Health Ambulance.
