10th Annual Concerts on the Pier
DULUTH, Minn. – The 10th annual Concerts on the Pier are back, bringing live music to the water.
People gathered for an evening of live music at the Glensheen Lakeside Pier. The free event is open to everyone, offering food, drinks, and room to bring lawn chairs or blankets. It’s a unique way to enjoy summer with friends and family while listening to local and regional bands perform, surrounded by the amazing view of Lake Superior.
“It’s a concert, where you’re coming down and you’re experiencing the grounds in that different way, but you’re also still on a historic estate built in 1908 by the Congdon family, and they really wanted to open this place up for folks to come down and for it to be a community space,” said Mike Mayou, marketing manager at Glensheen.
Every Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. through the end of August, people can kayak, canoe, or boat to the pier for the front-row view of each concert.
