Aerial Lift Bridge and Minnesota Slip Bridge to have special hours during Festival of Sail

DULUTH, Minn. – The Aerial Lift Bridge and Minnesota slip bridge will have special lift schedules during Festival of Sail.

On Thursday, June 10, 2025 the Parade of Sail will travel under the Aerial Lift Bridge.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am and end around 1:00 pm.

During the Parade of Sail, the public should expect longer than normal lift times as it lifts to allow the tall ships to enter the harbor.

Typically three crafts at a time will pass under the bridge, the bridge will then lower and allow automotive and pedestrian traffic to cross.

The Aerial Lift Bridge will return to its regular summer lifting schedule following the Parade of Sail; the normal summer schedule is lifting on the hour and half-hour mark.

The Minnesota Slip Bridge will have its own special hours from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13, 2025.

The Minnesota Slip Bridge will lift on the quarter-hour and on the three-quarter-hour of every hour (e.g., 10:15 and 10:45).
