Meeting Set for Hibbing Sex Offender Release

The Hibbing Police Department is hosting a meeting to notify the public about the release and relocation of a Level III sex offender. 

The meeting will be held on March 24 at 6:00 p.m in the Little Theater located on the lower level of the Hibbing Memorial Building. 

54-year-old Marvin Ross Thronson is expected to be released on March 29. 

He will be living in the area of the 2900 block of East 5th Avenue. 

Thronson has a history of sexual conduct and contact with minor females (ages 10-16).  He took advantage of one victim while sleeping, and used force to gain compliance of another.  He also has a history of possession of child pornography.
