St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office releases Body-Worn and Squad Video video of Normanna shooting

DULUTH, Min. – The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office released videos from the the officer-involved shooting that took place in Normanna Township on July 15, 2025.

The released video is from the body-worn cameras and squad video during the moments leading up to, during, and immediately after the shooting of Adam Clinton Wolf, 57, of Normanna.

The footage shows the exchange of gunfire between five members of the Sheriff’s Office and Wolf.

Wolf died at the scene from gunfire.

The video includes the group of five from the Sheriff’s Office proceeding down a dirt road.

One deputy was driving a Sheriff’s Office Truck, the other four were walking behind or next to the truck.

The video shows the group passing a fire in the roadway and an abandon small vehicle that was running.

The camera footage then shows Wolf leaving the woods and walking onto the shoulder of the roadway.

Wolf them turns towards law enforcement.

A gun muzzle flash is visible coming from Wolf prior to the members of the Sheriff’s Office opening fire.

The footage is from Deputies Charles Bennett, Forest Lunemann, Michael Pikul, Matt Miranda and Sgt. Zachary Peterson.

Upon releasing the video Sheriff Gordon Ramsay said, “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident, including our Deputies, 911 staff and all the Fire and Emergency personnel who responded, as well as the affected neighbors and family of Mr. Wolf.  We hope the release of this footage provides some clarity as everyone involved attempts to understand this tragic incident.”

It is an open and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
