Two Arrested with Stolen Firearm in Duluth

Duluth Police have arrested two people after finding a stolen firearm in their possession. 

Authorities were called to the area of the 200 North Block of 1st Avenue East just after 10 Monday morning on reports of a person with a gun. 

When police arrived, the suspects fled the scene.  One of the suspects fled into the nearby Adult Learning Center.  Police say there were no threats of violence towards any staff, students or any other person in the area. 

Authorities located and arrested the men, ages 17 and 19.  They recovered a stolen firearm on one of the suspects. 

The 17-year-old was taken to the Arrowhead Juvenile Center and the 19-year-old is being held at the St. Louis County Jail. 

Charges of Possession of stolen property and possession of a firearm on school grounds are pending. 

The incident remains under investigation.
