DECC to Celebrate 50 Years with Beach Boys, Temptations Concert

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center will celebrate it’s 50th Anniversary this year with a concert featuring the Beach Boys and Temptations. 

The DECC will host the concert on Saturday, August 6.

The day will also include a community open house, and an all-employee reunion. 

The DECC opened it’s doors in 1966, before the St. Paul Civic Center, the Met Center in Bloomington, and the Metrodome in Minneapolis, all of which are no longer standing. 

The community open-house will run from 3-6 p.m. with self-guided tours of the facility. 

The all-employee reunion is free and open to anyone who worked at the DECC during the past 50 years.  The event will run from 3-5 p.m. 

The Beach Boys and Temptations concert will kick off at 7 p.m. at Amsoil Arena. 

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 1.
