Harbor Monster Just One Win Away from Back-to-Back ArenaMania Titles

The defending champions welcome in the Hot Springs Wiseguys on Saturday, August 9th.

DULUTH, Minn.- Last weekend, the Duluth Harbor Monsters defeated the Ozarks Lunkers 69-26 in the semifinal round of the 2025 postseason.

Now the Harbor Monsters are just one win away from back-to-back titles.

The Duluth Harbor Monsters gear up for the ArenaMania II championship game this Saturday.

The defending champions welcome the Hot Springs Wiseguys.

These two teams met back in week three, where the Wiseguys got the best of Duluth. Walking away with the 43 to 31 win.

In a game where a championship title is on the line.

The Harbor Monsters understand the importance of playing as one during moments of adversity.

“We just got to stick together. That’s the gist of arena football. Everyone hold their composure, adversity is going to hit, it’s arena football. The team that can hold through adversity the longest is the team that usually pulls out and wins,” said Harbor Monsters quarterback Ja’Vonte Johnson. “The two losses that we did take this year they were really good losses. We needed those losses, just as far as us needing adversity. Like adversity in the game, we expect that to happen. But real adversity throughout the year, you never plan for it. It just happens, and you got to figure out how you’re going to bounce back from it, shows your character and all that stuff like that. Like I said, the group of guys we have we are ready for adversity.”

As the days count down to Saturday, the Harbor Monsters are ready to play another championship game right here in Duluth.

“It feels amazing to be able to play in front of these fans. Once again, these guys are always that extra defender in my opinion. Getting loud, talking crap to the other team, there just, we love Duluth, and we are excited to play here again,” said Harbor Monsters defensive back De’ron Maxwell.

“Most of our family can come here to watch us play because we are at home. Our owner and all that help us situate our families to stay here and stuff. So I mean, at this point it’s home for us,” said Johnson.

The Harbor Monsters and the Wiseguys square off for the ArenaMania title on Saturday, August 9th.

Game time is at 7 p.m.
