Two Injured in Itasca County Rollover

Two people were injured after a rollover accident near Coleraine on Sunday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Expedition was traveling Northbound on Highway 169 when it drifted onto the shoulder and went into the ditch.  The car then hit an embankment and slammed into a power pole, coming to a rest on it’s roof.

25-year-old Ashlee Tolbert, of Bovey, and 33-year-old Aaron Dunham, of Deer River, were taken to Grand Itasca Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say alcohol is not a factor in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
