50th Annual Hoghead Festival in Full Swing in Proctor

PROCTOR, Minn. — The Hoghead Festival in Proctor has kicked off for its 50th year of celebration.

The fest started as a way to honor and remember Proctors railroad history.

As events start to ramp up for the 50th anniversary, a car show was held at Powerhouse Bar.

The car show has been a longstanding tradition during the festival, with owners showing off their hotrods and classic cars.

Some of the participants have been taking part in the show for multiple years, but many newcomers were also revving up the engines this year.

“I think people like to get out and go to these places and eat the food at the food trucks and come out look at cars,” Richard Kari, Powerhouse Bar Owner said.

The Hoghead fest will continue into the weekend with various activities taking place, including live music, vendors, and a firework show Saturday night.
