Superior Police Release ‘Critical Identifying Characteristic’ Of Missing Woman

SUPERIOR, Wis. — The Superior Police Department released new information Thursday about Corrine Johansen, 41, of Superior who has been missing since early August.  Officials said Johansen suffers from a condition that prevents her head from sitting in a forward-facing direction.

“The Superior Police Department is providing an important update regarding the description of missing person Corrine Johansen.

In previously released photographs, Corrine is shown with her head turned to the right. Her family has advised us that Corrine suffers from a condition that prevents her from positioning her head in a forward-facing direction. We are sharing this information because we believe it is a critical identifying characteristic that may assist in locating her.

Our department continues to devote every available resource to the search for Corrine. We extend our full support to her family and express our gratitude to the community for the outpouring of concern during this difficult time.

We urge all residents and business owners to carefully review any surveillance or doorbell camera footage, especially from the afternoon and evening hours of August 5th. If you have any information or believe you have seen Corrine, please call 911 immediately. Reporting directly to 911 ensures the fastest possible response. Please avoid using non-emergency lines, desk numbers, or email for these tips, as these methods may cause delays.

The Superior Police Department remains committed to finding Corrine and asks the community to continue to stay vigilant.”
