“The Passion:” Behind The Scenes

We are giving you a behind-the-scenes look at FOX TV’s upcoming live musical “The Passion.” The stars have been filming the past week ahead of their big premiere on Sunday.

The two-hour television special features Jencarlos Canela as Jesus Christ and “American Idol” contestant – Chris Daughtry – as Judas.

“The Passion” tells the story of Christ’s last hours on Earth with contemporary music sung by the cast.

Here are a few words from the celebs on their roles in the musical and what we can expect to see.

“I am playing the bad guy, which is the only guy I would’ve wanted to play. If I set my mind to play a character in this story, it would’ve been Judas,” Daughtry said.

“It’s a lot of responsibility for me. I think when I first heard I got the role, I was excited but it was a lot of responsibility, a lot of it is live. This is such a great story that so many people believe in,” Royce said.

“The Passion” two-hour event is Sunday, March 20, 7 p.m. on FOX 21.
