DULUTH, Min. – A Duluth man has been cited in connection with the Camp House Fire.

It is believed the fire started from an unattended campfire.

The fire started May 11, 2025, near Brimson.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources tells FOX21, “The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), in coordination with the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office, has cited Parker John Wilson, 27, of Duluth in connection with the Camp House Fire”.

The statement continues to say, “This misdemeanor charge comes following the DNR’s investigation into the fire’s cause, which is believed to be an unattended campfire.”

The DNR continued to say this is still an active legal case.

The Camp House Fire burned more than 12,070 acres and destroyed more than 150 structures, including homes and outbuildings.
