Oktoberfest Returning to Bayfront Park this Weekend

DULUTH, Minn.– A little bit of Germany will be making its way to the Northland this weekend.

Because the annual Oktoberfest celebration is coming back strong.

‘Oktoberfest’ is a family friendly weekend long celebration of all things Germany.

For the occasion, authentic food, and imported beer from Germany is brought in for Duluth to enjoy.

Guests can look forward to live music, stein holding contests, authentic German food, and yard games.

College students can get in for free with student ID cards, and new this year, parking will be free.

The organizer telling us, there really is something for everyone to do at this gathering.

“Oktoberfestivals aren’t just a beer festival. They are for generations of families. So, we really want to see mom and dad come down, but we want them to bring the grandparents, and we want them to bring the kids. All of the activities down here are free. We have actually subdivided half of the of the area down here with kids’ activities,” explained Ryan Kern, Oktoberfest organizer.
