#24 UMD Football Walks-Off #7 MSU-Mankato After 25-yard Field Goal From Jadon Apgar

The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 on the season. 

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD football team hosted its home opener on Saturday against 7th ranked MSU-Mankato.

The Mavericks scored a touchdown late in the second quarter to give them a 7-3 lead at halftime over UMD.

In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs and the Mavericks were tied 14-14

But the Bulldogs put together a 6:19 drive that was capped off by a 25-yard walk-off field goal by Jadon Apgar to secure the 17 to 14 win for UMD.

The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 on the season.

UMD will hit the road next week to take on Sioux Falls (3-0) on Saturday, September 20th.

Kickoff between the Bulldogs and the Cougars is at 1 p.m.
