Coffee Conversation: Duluth Playhouse Kicks Off New Season with Million Dollar Quartet

DULUTH, MN — Duluth Playhouse is launching its 2025–2026 season with the high-energy musical Million Dollar Quartet, at the NorShor Theatre.

New Associate Artistic Director Charlie Sutton, a Broadway veteran, joins the creative team, bringing fresh energy to the Playhouse. Davis Wood stars as Johnny Cash. Both Sutton and Wood appeared live on FOX 21’s morning newscast to share more about the production.

The show tells the story of a legendary jam session between Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. It stands out for featuring performers who play their own instruments live on stage. Wood also treated viewers to a live in-studio performance of “Folsom Prison Blues.”
