Coffee Conversation: Duluth’s Sophie Hiroko Gains Buzz in Music Scene

DULUTH, Minn. — Born and raised in Duluth, local musician Sophie Hiroko is making waves across the region with her unique sound she calls “tender bubble grunge.”

Hiroko joined Fox 21 live Friday, Sept. 19, on the morning newscast for an interview and two live performances.

Her genre-defying style reflects both her roots and a bold creative vision that’s gaining attention far beyond her hometown.
