Bentleyville Seeks Volunteers as Season Begins

DULUTH, Minn. — The Northland’s “Tour of Lights” is looking for some Christmas helpers.

Bentleyville is beginning its set-up for its 2025 season, and is looking for volunteers to help prepare and maintain the free attraction for the holidays.

Set-up takes place on the weekends, with food provided for the folks setting up, and Wednesday evenings.

The event has been volunteer-based since the beginning, and it’s that Christmas spirit that makes the magic happen.

“If we don’t have large groups of volunteers to come down and help us put on the event, it really doesn’t even happen,” said Founder and Executive Director Nathan Bentley. “We need the volunteers to help build the event for the next eight weeks, and then once we do open up, we actually need 60 volunteers every single night to be fully operational.”

“Bentleyville’s volunteers are really the heart of the whole organization.”

Volunteers are encouraged to register on their website, or simply show up at the Bentleyville grounds in Bayfront Park on a scheduled set-up day.
