UMD Men’s Hockey to Play in Northern Ireland in 2026

The UMD men are the 2nd NCHC team to be invited to play in Belfast.

DULUTH, Minn.- In January, the UMD women’s hockey team will travel to Ireland to play in the Friendship Four.

Nine months later, the UMD men’s squad will also play a regular season contest in Belfast.

Announced Tuesday, the Bulldog men were one of four teams selected to play in the Friendship Four series.

They’ll join UConn, Providence, and Colgate during Thanksgiving weekend of 2026.

The UMD men are the 2nd NCHC team to be invited to play in Belfast.

But, they and the lady Bulldogs are the first programs from the same school to play in Belfast.
