Congressman Tiffany’s run for governor to leave open seat in Congressional race
SUPERIOR, Wis. – Congressman Tom Tiffany has announced his run for Wisconsin Governor to replace Tony Evers.
That means there will now be an open race to replace Tiffany in Congress.
His Gubernatorial campaign says the Congressman will not be hedging his bets.
Tiffany will not be having a Congressional campaign.
Tiffany has cruised to victory in the 7th Congressional District — which covers nearly 19,000 square miles encompassing all or part of 20 counties.
It includes most of northern and central Wisconsin.

Tiffany won a special election in 2020 after the resignation of Sean Duffy, who is now Trump’s transportation secretary.
Tiffany then won the general elections in 2020, 2022 and 2024.
Tiffany won his special election by 14 points and has won reelection by more than 20 points in each of his three reelections.
The 7th Congressional District includes all of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, St. Croix, Clark, Douglas, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Vilas, and Washburn Counties. Plus parts of Chippewa, Jackson, Juneau, Monroe and Wood Counties.
