Man arrested for drive by shooting in Village of Minong
VILLAGE OF MINONG, Wis. — A man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in the Village of Minong.
On Tuesday at 9:26 p.m., the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting.
Officials say they learned that a 29-year-old man had driven up to a home, gotten into an altercation, and fired shots as he drove away.
The man was then located by the car he was driving, which was parked outside a home.
Authorities surrounded the home, and a Special Response Team was deployed.
Attempts to call the man out of the home were unsuccessful, leading to the use of less-than-lethal measures to draw him out.
Officials say the man was taken into custody and transported to the Washburn County Jail.
