Western Lakes Habitat for Humanity Hosts Homecoming and Picnic

DULUTH, Minn. – Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity hosting a homecoming and picnic outside at Munger Park.

The nonprofit, which helps locals build and improve safe, affordable housing, brought neighbors, volunteers, and homeowners together to connect through the celebration of their mission. The event included games, raffles, music, food, and an opportunity to meet the people behind Western Lake Habitat for Humanity.

“Since 1984, I think habitats built like 75 houses in the Duluth and Superior area, and now we just work in Duluth. But today we wanted to thank the people that have helped us get as far as we are,” said Marla Yoho, board of directors at Habitat for Humanity.

The board members recommend reaching out if you need decent, affordable housing by applying for homeownership through their local Habitat for Humanity.
