Duluth Police Department Raising Money With Pink Patch Project
DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Police Department is participating in its fifth annual Pink Patch Project this October.
The Pink Patch Project is a campaign where law enforcement agencies raise money for cancer education, research and treatment.
Duluth Police Officers will be dawning pink bracelets or replacing their standard police patch for pink ones.
Pink bracelets, can koozies and t-shirts are available for purchase.
100% of the proceeds will go towards the American Cancer Society.
“Money raised from all of this go towards the American Cancer Society. So we chose the American Cancer Society because it supports all cancers, yes we do this for pink and for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but we decided to go to the American Cancer Society to help all cancers,” Mattie Hjelseth, Public Information Officer for the Duluth Police Department said.
Over the past five years, the Duluth Police Department has raised nearly $7,000 through the Pink Patch Project.
