Crosby Fire triples in size, now 25% contained

TOFTE, Minn. — The wildfire burning up the north shore has now over tripled in size.

The Crosby fire, located near the George H. Crosby Manitou State Park, is now mapped at 160 acres and is 25% contained.

Crews are tackling the fire from the ground and by air.

A portion of the Superior Hiking Trail is now closed in the area of the fire.
