The hunt is on for the Lake Superior Plaza holiday tree

DULUTH, Minn- Minneota Power announced Friday that it has started the search for its Holiday tree.

Officials say they have begun taking nominations from the community for the Light Up the Plaza holiday event on November 21

The tradition of having a tree outside Minnesota Power’s headquarters at Lake Avenue and Superior Street is entering its 40th year.

In order for your tree to be considered, it should be a 25-30 ft spruce or pine, within a 10-mile radius of Duluth.

It should also be easily accessible for harvesting.

Those interested can complete a nomination form or visit the Minnesota Power website.

The deadline for submission is October 31.
