DULUTH, Minn. — According to DOT officials, the Twin Ports interchange project should be construction-free by Friday.

The ramp connecting I-35 to the Blatnik Bridge is the last piece of the 5-year project still partly closed.

A ribbon-cutting was earlier in October celebrated the completion of the project, which included I-35, the Hwy 53 bridges, and I-535 ramps.

The new interchange improves safety, traffic flow, and freight movement, supporting 80,000 vehicles daily, including 5,000 big rigs.
