Castle Danger Heads into 10 years of ‘Pints for a Cause’
TWO HARBORS, Minn. — Once again, Castle Danger is turning good beer into a good cause as they head into their 10th year of ‘Pints for a Cause.’
Throughout the entire year, the brewery hosts beer release parties every other month in collaboration with six different non-profits from across the region. Each release party showcases one organization’s work through a custom-brewed beer that is sold throughout the month.
A portion of the sales from the beer goes directly to the organization of the month.
“Something we really believe in is creating community, and one way to do that is by supporting our community through these awesome organizations,” said Caleb Knudsen, taproom event manager at Castle Danger Brewing Company. “And this is kind of our way to give back to our community, because without them, we wouldn’t be here. And so we are really cognizant of supporting the community that’s allowed us to grow.”
The brewers find that bringing the non-profits on to help create the beer allows the organizations to bring their own unique twist.
“What we have really done is kind of let non-profits take the reins and let them be as involved as they’d like to be,” said Knudsen.
The brewery says any 501 C3 non-profits can apply to become a part of the ‘Pints for a Cause’ program up until Oct. 31.
