City of Duluth announces 2nd annual snowplow naming contest

DULUTH, Minn. — The City of Duluth has announced its second annual snowplow naming contest.

The contest started on Wednesday and submission runs until October 29.

Any Duluth resident can submit a name through a form on the City’s website for a chance to win a prize package.

Submissions will be narrowed to a field of finalists, which will be announced on their social media and website on November 3.

The public can vote for their favorite name online through November 7, with the winner being notified on November 11.

The newly-named snowplow will debut at the Christmas City of the North Parade.
