Update in fatal wrong-way crash

HAWTHORNE TOWNSHIP, Wis. — Officials have named both victims of a fatal wrong-way crash.

Officials have now identified Daniel W. Ohara, 77, of Duluth, along with Todd M. Eckart, 61, of Duluth as the victims.

The crash happened at 2:12 pm on Wednesday.

According to officials, a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes between Berg Park Rd. and Kent Rd. collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.

Ohara was traveling North in the Southbound left lane when he collided with Eckart, driving South.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene
