Superior Fire Department launches annual “Toys for Tots” fundraiser
SUPERIOR, Wis.– The spirit of giving is around the corner, and that means the Superior Fire Department is hosting its annual “Toys for Tots” fundraiser.
The firefighters team up with the U.S. Marines Corps to gather as many toys as possible for local families this Christmas.
Anybody can drop off new toys at the main fire station at numerous locations across the city.
Toys for children of all ages are needed, but there’s a certain age that can use more help.
“So, something that we have been working on recently is getting more donations for the older kids. Sometimes they can be a little bit harder to shop for, and we want to make sure that they’re not forgotten about. They are also a huge part of this community,” explained Abby Dolsen, firefighter, Superior Fire Department.
With Black Friday coming up firefighters told FOX 21 it’s great timing to consider donating some toys to bring some joy!
