First-Ever St. Scholastica Football Coach Greg Carlson Passes Away at 77
Carlson led the Saints from 2007-2013.
DULUTH, Minn.- The St. Scholastica football family is mourning after it was announced that former head coach Greg Carlson has passed away at the age of 77.
Carlson was the first-ever football coach in program history.
He was hired in 2007 and the team played their first-ever game the following year in 2008.
During his reign, the Saints went 39-22, which included an impressive 32-9 record in conference play.
Carlson also led CSS to three straight UMAC conference titles from 2011 to 2013, after which he retired.
He was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
