Fred Clark running for Wisconsin 7th Congressional District
WISCONSIN. — Former Wisconsin State lawmaker Fred Clark is running for Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District.
That district is currently held by republican representative Tom Tiffany, who is running for Wisconsin governor in 2026.
Clark is a democrat, he’s lived and worked in Wisconsin for 35 years as a forester and small business owner.
As for past politics, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 81 in the Madison area from 2009 to 2015.
Clark is prioritizing public education, strengthening rural communities and protecting natural resources.
“Northern Wisconsin has a lot of unique attributes and a lot of things that make quality of life here high, but we need representation in Washington that understands that, and can help bring home the investments that we really need to keep people and the families in the communities here strong,” Clark said.
Five other candidates have announced their run for the congressional seat, two of which also Democrats and three are Republicans.
The primary election will take place August 11, 2026 and the general election on November 3, 2026.
