Shed fire temporally halts Burlington Northern traffic
ALBORN TOWNSHIP, Min. – A shed fire broke out in the early morning hours of November 22nd, 2025.
The shed was in the 8600 block of Ostman Road in Alborn Township. It was burning so close to Burlington Northern train tracks that train traffic had to be temporally halted.
The fire was also spreading to the tree line nearby. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reports area fire departments extinguished the flames.
The scene was about 8-miles west of Independence.
No people or animals were reported to have been hurt.
Residents on scene suspected a wood burning stove to be the source of ignition.
No foul play is suspected.
