New Downtown Duluth parking ramp unveiled
DULUTH, Minn.– Essentia health and the City of Duluth teamed up to unveil a new parking ramp.
It’s located on East First Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue East.
The Hillside Public Ramp will bring 327 additional parking spots.
Officials said, it will benefit the community greatly.
Parking spots can be used for both downtown and hospital visits.
“It is an access-controlled system. So, to get back into the ramp once you park your car, you’ll need an access code to get back in that’s provided once you pay for your parking helps keep the facility clean and safe by limiting the access in and out of it,” said Mark Bauer, parking operations manager, City of Duluth.
Bauer told FOX 21 that construction for the parking ramp took around two years to complete.
The ramp is owned and managed by the city of Duluth via Interstate Parking.
