20th Annual Gobble Gallop raises nearly 10K for Safe Haven
DULUTH, Minn. — The 20th Annual Gobble Gallop had runners working up a Thanksgiving appetite.
Hosted by Duluth Running Company this annual staple brings thousands together to kick off Thanksgiving Day.
The run supports the Safe Haven Shelter and resources center.
This year they raised nearly 10 thousand dollars in sponsorships and donations.
The Gobble gallop features a variety of events, including the 5k, 1 miler, and kids run, allowing families, friends, and neighbors of all ages participate in the fun.
“What I love most about it is you get parents who are demonstrating to their kids the healthy benefits of just being active on a day that used to be little bit more sedentary and kind of still is throughout the rest of the day, but in the morning, people come together as a community and run.” said Clint Agar, CEO and Co-Owner of Duluth Running Company.
Duluth Running Company also has a Lefse Run coming up Mid-December.
Proceeds from that will also support Safe Haven and runners will get free Lefse.
