Monday Morning Northland Forecast: 12/1/2025
A Cold Week
Today is the first day of Meteorological Winter. And, boy, it feels like it! The average high for today is 30 degrees, and our high today is going to be half of that, at only 15 degrees. Adding insult to injury, a week ago today, we tied the record high of 53, under sunny skies. So, today, with a high of 15, and SW winds up to 20mph, it is indeed a shock to the system. Plus, we had 6″ of snow Saturday night, so we went from beautiful fall weather, last Monday, to very wintry conditions today. Not much time to adjust!
The whole week will be this way, too. We won’t be anywhere near 30 degrees for the next week. In fact, overnight Wednesday, we look to get down to -10. That’s mid-January weather, in early December. I do believe it’s going to be a long, cold, snowy winter. Astronomical Winter (shortest day of the year) doesn’t start til December 21st, so we still have a ways to go, for that to get here.
We may get a little bit of snow Tuesday night, and again, overnight Friday. Neither looks to be more than an inch or so. But, that’s what we thought last Saturday night, too….and it turned into 6″ of beautiful, fluffy white snow! We’re living in a snow globe now!
Have a great Monday!
