Merryweather Inn lights up the holidays
DULUTH, Minn. — The Merryweather Inn is back again, hosting Marcia Hales’ famous “spirit of the Lights” display.
The Inn is festively decorated from top to bottom, inside and out, spreading holiday cheer throughout the community. Visitors are encouraged to drive up to the Inn for a quick view or take a walk along their lighted path. While exploring, people can leave a letter for Santa in the green mailbox or a donation in the pink shed for local food shelters and Animal Allies. The lights will be on every evening for the entire month of December.
“It’s there for fun,” said Beth Koralia, owner of Merryweather Inn. “People just like to walk by, and it brings such joy to everyone, and it’s just fun to watch their faces light up when they see the display.”
For those who would like to see the inside, the Inn hosts afternoon tea on Fridays and Saturdays, or you can keep an eye out for cellar nights.
