“Active Investigation” within Chisholm

CHISHOLM, Min. – The Chisholm Police Department says they are conducting an “active investigation” within Chisholm.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and its Crime Scene Team are also assisting the Chisholm Police Department.

Chisholm Police Chief James Vukad says in a statement, “we are not able to release specific details in order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigative process.”

He added there is no threat to the public.He continued, “we ask that community members avoid the area so investigators can work efficiently.”

The statement did not say where the investigation was taking place.

A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension spokesperson tells FOX21, “The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting the Chisolm Police Department with an investigation they are conducting. The Chisolm Police Department is the lead investigating agency.”
