#5 UMD Women’s Hockey to Wrap Up 2025 Slate in Bemidji

UMD has won 17 straight games against Bemidji State.

DULUTH, Minn.- Hard to believe but this weekend will be the final series in 2025 for the 5th ranked UMD women’s hockey team.

The Bulldogs will hit the road to Bemidji to take on a Beavers squad, who they’ve won 17 straight against.

Of those 17 contests, 11 have resulted in a shutout.

Last time out, UMD was swept by Ohio State and a big reason for that was the team falling behind early to the Buckeyes.

Head Coach Laura Schuler says that’s been a big point of emphasis heading into the Bemidji State series.

“We have to continue to play the way that we know how to play. That’s playing a physical game. If we want to possess the puck, we have to make sure that we’re playing physical. And then too, our starts have to be better. We have to be dialed in from the drop of the puck. Whether it’s the start of practice or gametime situations. We want to be dialed in from the very get-go,” said Schuler.

All-time, UMD has a 96-22-1 record against Bemidji State.

The Bulldogs will look to add two more this weekend with game one slated for Friday at 6:02 pm.
