Thursday Evening Northland Forecast: 12/4/2025
A Brief Warm-up For Friday
Astronomical Winter doesn’t arrive til December 21st, the shortest day of the year, and the Winter Solstice. Then, I expect it to be cold. But, the below normal temps we have endured this week have been more like mid-January, than early December. It seems this winter will indeed be more of a ‘real’ winter, than the last 2 ‘wimpy’ winters we have had! Our average high these days is 29 degrees, and we haven’t seen temps that warm all week. And, we won’t for the next week, either.
We will warm up a little bit on Friday, into the low 20’s, under cloudy skies. But then, for the weekend, it’s right back down to highs of 11 and 8. Our lows will be below 0 degrees both nights. Next week, the jetstream will warm us up to 20 degrees on Tuesday, but then it’s right back to cooler temps for the rest of the week. We will have chances for light snow on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, which I consider a good thing. Snow is always good for the local economy!
I don’t see any big snowstorms through mid-December. But, I’m eagerly looking!
Have a great Friday!
