The Veterans Memorial Hall hosts 20th annual remembrance dinner
DULUTH, Minn. — People gathered at the Veterans Memorial Hall for the 20th annual remembrance dinner.
The event was hosted by the St. Louis County Historical Society and is held every year to honor service members and our nation’s history. The evening featured keynote speakers, a silent auction, dinner, the Mike Colalillo Medal of Honor Scholarship, the unveiling of the new USS Duluth Exhibit, and special addresses from Senator Amy Klobuchar and District 8 Representative Pete Stauber.
“The Memorial Hall is a way to remember the local people that stepped out and went to the foreign wars,” said John Petrich, attendee of the 20th annual remembrance dinner. “It’s a way to remember men and women on the home front who stood behind them and made the sacrifices. It’s a way just to keep the living history going.”
All ticket sales from this event go towards the Veterans Memorial Hall to support events, exhibits, educational programs, ongoing projects, and crucial improvements to displays.
