Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 12/5/2025

A Chilly Weekend!

After Thursday’s very cold day (low temp of -12) we warmed up a little bit on Friday, with a high of 21 (still far below the average high of 28). For the weekend, we go plunging right back down to very below average temperatures. Over the weekend, our highs will be 12 and 10. We will be below zero both Saturday and Sunday night. One consolation is that we should see quite a bit of sunshine this weekend. So, there is that. And, it shouldn’t be too windy over the weekend, either, as we will largely be under the influence of a calm area of high pressure.

Back to work on Monday, we will have 3 straight days of cloudy skies and good chances for snow. A couple Alberta Clippers, over a 3-day period, may bring us several inches of snow. From Monday through Wednesday, we could see, 3, 4 or even 5″ of new snow. All good for the local economy. Those 3 days, we will have highs of 14, 24 and 19. Things clear out on Thursday, and so does the warm air. Highs Thursday and Friday look to be about 14 and 10. Astronomical Winter doesn’t arrive til December 21st. These are definitely January temps in early December.

Looking farther out, I don’t see any big snowstorms from the southwest (Gulf moisture) in the next 7-10 days. But…..I’m watching!

Have a great weekend!
